The Grandfather Oge – The Learning of Siberian Shaman (Eminent 2004)
|
|
Novel about the transformation of a common human into the healer of a tribe. Several inhabitants of the village Chemdalsk on the river Katanga told me the story about the grandfather Oge. Tungusian people called Oge „Haptay“ – „Wizard“, because he didn´t heal with a drum, he healed only with the help of spiritual worlds and herbaceous plants. Oge and other shamans couldn´t heal with drums because of the socialist regime prohibition.
